A beautifully sized and attractively decorated painting, adorned with a non-contemporary frame from the second half of the 20th century, finely carved and gilded.
Painting signed lower right E. Morteo (see photo), attributed to the Genoese painter Ettore Morteo (1874-1939), lacking authentication. The painting unfolds vertically, with a pleasing perspective created by the painter through a skillful use of light, creating a strong and interesting contrast with the shadowed elements. Artwork for antique dealers, interior decorators, and collectors of 20th-century Italian landscapes, attractively decorated. In good condition with some small signs of aging.
