Antique 18th-century Italian painting. Oil on canvas artwork inspired by Luca Giordano's famous masterpiece, Christ and the Adulteress, an original from the second half of the 17th century. A horizontally arranged painting of beautiful size and proportion, it would easily fit into any room in the home.
The painting has recently undergone a conservative restoration, including relining, replacement of the stretcher, and repainting in some areas. Compared to the original, the painting has altered some of the features and colors of the garments, but maintains its original structure. Painting with a beautiful patina, it has some minor paint drops; overall, it is in fair condition. Internal dimensions: H 100.5 x W 125.5 cm.
