Antique French painting from the late 18th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a countryside landscape with a mill on the river, of good pictorial quality. This square painting is adorned with a modern carved and gilded wooden frame. The painting has a pleasant perspective and good luminosity, enhanced by the presence of several figures and a unique natural arch over the river (see photo).
This artwork has undergone conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the stretcher, and restoration of color in small areas. This painting is part of a pair (a second painting of a slightly different size is sold separately; request the price of the pair if available). In good condition.
