Italian painting dated 1875. Oil on canvas, first canvas, artwork depicting a bucolic landscape, a young shepherd with sheep and donkeys, of excellent pictorial quality. The painting, which unfolds horizontally, is of a beautiful size and easily sized, adorned with a non-contemporary frame in wood and plaster, sculpted and gilded in good taste.
The artwork is signed and dated lower right (see photo) A. Milone, attributable to the Posillipo School painter Antonio Milone (1834-1919), renowned for his paintings of rural scenes. Additional documentation is missing. A painting of great elegance and refinement, for antique dealers and collectors of 19th-century Italian views. The painting has a beautiful patina and is in good condition. Internal dimensions: H 35 x W 60 cm.
