Antique Italian painting from the mid-18th century. Artwork oil on canvas depicting a still life with fruit, beautifully painted. A beautifully sized and proportioned painting, it would easily fit into any space in the home, making it a favorite with antique dealers and collectors. The painting is adorned with a non-contemporary 20th-century wood and plaster frame, carved and gilded (Mecca finish). The painting is almost square in shape, extending a few centimeters horizontally.
The perspective chosen by the painter is pleasing and decorative, adding, in addition to the fruit, a beautiful centerpiece, a plate with a decorated edge, and a curtain that extends across the table, almost dividing the work in two (see photo). The painting has undergone conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the stretcher, and restoration of the color in some areas (see photo). Overall, the artwork is in good condition. Internal dimensions: H 43 x W 49 cm.
